Throughout history there are many different meanings behind the symbolism of swallows and mushrooms. As I created “Warm Omen” I was inspired by the warmth and hope that this swallow brought. Swallows are migratory birds and as they return each year they bring the warmth of summer with them. Although his perch may seem dead, the mushrooms represent new growth and coming forth from a place of darkness. Together these two symbols bring the beauty of hope in new beginnings, even if we are not fully out of our darkness
“Warm Omen” is painted on watercolor paper which is mounted to a custom-made diamond hexagon wood panel. The Watercolor is sealed with a UV Varnish and doesn’t require a frame or glass. It comes wired & ready to hang.
